Today is day one of Vermont’s Legislative session. Below please find five proposed laws (bills) that could have an impact on your everyday life, your community, or Vermonters as a whole.
The most significant impact (at this time) would likely be the bill in red.

H. 15 | Proposes to provide financial assistance for room and board expenses at residential postsecondary schools in Vermont to residents of the State who are either: 1) under the custody of the Commissioner for Children and Families, 2) a young adult between 18 and 24 years of age who was under the custody of the Commissioner for Children and Families for at least six months when that person was between 16 and 18 years of age; or 3) a young adult between 18 and 24 years of age who was under the permanent guardianship of a relative and received kinship assistance pursuant to 33 V.S.A. § 4903 for at least six months when that person was between 16 and 18 years of age. | https://legislature.vermont.gov/bill/status/2026/H.15
